Are You Feeling Unmotivated Or Disconnected From Joy?

Do you ever feel like you're getting in your own way when trying to live a rich and fulfilling life? Life can be stressful with unexpected changes, relationship struggles, life transitions, sexual identity issues, social struggles, and current or past trauma disrupting your day-to-day functioning. This often creates a feeling of being out of control with your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors or feeling overwhelmed and isolated, but it does not have to stay that way.

A Safe and Supportive Space

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), I provide a welcoming, safe, supportive, and collaborative space for individuals seeking healing, clarity, and meaningful change. I understand how life’s challenges—such as unexpected transitions, relationship struggles, identity exploration, social stressors, and past or present trauma—can disrupt daily functioning and leave you feeling stuck or out of control in your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors.

Rediscover Your Purpose

I approach therapy as a partnership grounded in trust, acceptance, and authenticity, with room for both deep reflection and moments of humor. Together, we will explore how your experiences and relationships shape your present, while building insight, balance, and new ways of relating to yourself and others. My goal is to help you reconnect with your sense of purpose, unlock your potential, and create lasting, life-enriching change.

FAQ about EMDR

What is EMDR?
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is an evidence-based therapy that helps individuals process and heal from distressing or traumatic experiences using structured techniques and bilateral stimulation, such as guided eye movements.

How does EMDR work?
EMDR supports the brain in reprocessing memories that may feel “stuck,” reducing their emotional intensity and helping you develop more adaptive, balanced perspectives.

What can EMDR help with?
EMDR is widely used for trauma and PTSD, and is also effective for anxiety, depression, grief, phobias, and other stress-related concerns.

‍ ‍

Is EMDR safe?
Yes, EMDR is considered a safe and well-researched therapy when provided by a trained clinician. Sessions are paced carefully to ensure emotional readiness and stability.

Do I have to talk in detail about my trauma?
No. EMDR does not require you to go into extensive detail about difficult experiences, which can make it feel more approachable for many people.

What is EMDRIA?

‍EMDRIA is the Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing International Association, which is a 501(c) 6 non-profit professional association for EMDR therapists. Their vision is to foster healing, health, and hope by defining, disseminating, and promoting standards and innovations in EMDR therapy and trauma-informed care. (EMDRIA)
